Shoppers enjoyed a fantastic experience at Oxford Hillcrest opening

THERE was an air of excitement as shoppers queued outside, waiting for the opening of the new Oxford Hillcrest.

At 8.30am on Friday, 11 October the doors opened to reveal the greatly anticipated new store. Owner, Brett Latimer was on hand to welcome and greet the shoppers as they were efficiently directed into the new store, with no shoving, pushing or impatience.

Youngster, Megan Edwards won an IPad for being the first customer at the door at 6.45am. Her ecstatic mom, Sarah said of her shopping experience, “It was fantastic, it feels like Christmas.”

Dave Guiseli was MC for the opening and kept the mood light and festive.

With many great bargains and low pricing, many shoppers walked away with full trolleys. The overwhelming response from shoppers was that they had had a fantastic shopping experience and would definitely be back.

“It was amazing. We bought a lot of stuff and they were fast and efficient. We will definitely be back”, said Richard Zinn.

Sharon Naidoo expressed a similar view. “It was amazing. I love Oxford and am so pleased they are now here. I used to go all the way to the Bluff one but this one will be much more convenient. I will be taking the specials pamphlets to show to my neighbours, friends and family.”
