TWO accidents were reported on Saturday 25 January in the Highway area.

The first accident occurred on Village Road in Kloof towards Field’s Hill. According to Chris Botha, of Netcare 911, two vehicles collided and 10 people were injured in the accident. “We transported two patients to the hospital, and all patients sustained minor injuries,” said Botha.

At approximately 12pm a taxi and a light motor vehicle collided on Old Main Road in Pinetown. “ER24 paramedics treated 12 patients at the scene and later transported them to the hospital. They all sustained minor injures, so there were no fatalities,” said Derrick Banks, of ER24.

The cause of both collisions are still under investigation.
