PGHS honour top pupils

Pinetown Girls High School annual speech day.

PINETOWN Girls High School held their annual speech day where Thabisile Mchunu was named Dux and Lynnette Mhlongo was a runner-up Dux. Lynnette achieved 86 per cent and received the Van der Merwe Trophy. She was also the prize winner for English, Geography and Booysen prize for Bilinguality. She also received The Bohen Cup for esprit de corps is awarded to a person who has shown outstanding commitment and loyalty to her school.

The guest speaker was former headgirl, Nomfundo Mkhize.

Thabisile Mchunu received Loggenberg award and Van der Merwe Trophy for the Dux of Pinetown Girls High School. She achieved 89 per cent and was also the prize winner for Afrikaans, Accounting, Life Science, Mathematics and Physical Science.
