DEVELOP persistence and don’t take ‘no’ for an answer. This quality aptly describes Star College Girls’ High School pupil, Kimendree Moodley.
Kimendree joined the Star College family in 2012 as a Grade 10 pupil. She is a calm, confident and vibrant pupil, who steps outside her comfort zone, taking on academic challenges with gusto, currently taking on 10 subjects.
She has a positive, can-do attitude with a quiet confidence that leads her to achieving academic excellence, resulting in her obtaining a 93 per cent aggregate in the matric trial examinations.
As a mentor, Kimendree readily helped the school’s junior pupils academically. Her selfless nature has endeared her to both pupils and the community at large. She was involved in many outreach programmes where she assisted with food parcels, stationery gift bags, and medical camps.
She said: “My aim is to do the best that I can and I strive to better “me” everyday. My motto is to always believe in oneself and to keep trying because each and every attempt gets one closer and closer to achieve ones goals, and remember to fill the world with love, laughter and happiness that I learned from my teachers at Star College Girls’ High School.”
Star College Girls’ High School has chosen Kimendree as the SPAR Star of the Month.
