POLICE arrested four men and recovered items with a value of R75 000 in Bucks Farm area near Hammarsdale on Friday.
This came after the increase of crime in the Summerveld area.
Hillcrest SAPS communications officer, Cst Ndumiso Manqele said, Hillcrest Crime Prevention,Hillcrest detectives together with Pinetown Cluster Crime Intelligence conducted an intelligence driven operation.
“At about 2am on Friday, police went to Bucks Farm after a crime pattern was identify identified and intelligence was gathered on the men involved in these crime.
“During this operation four men were arrested for numerous case of housebreaking in Summerveld.
“Various items were recovered during their arrest which included,Plasma TV’s, laptops and computers with the value of R75000.
The men are still under police custody for further investigation and they will appear in the Pinetown Magistrate Court on Monday.
Hillcrest station commander, Col Mbhele commended the police on their good work.
