Christmas has come early for Rescuetech!
Rescuetech have a stylish new rescue vehicle.
Rescuetech is the proud owner of a fully customised rescue vehicle thanks to the generosity of sponsors.
A Landrover was purchased as a Rescue vehicle with a donation from Procreation. Mark Easton,Operations Manager at Rescuetech approached various companies for sponsorship in customising the vehicle to their specific rescue needs.
“All the modifications on the vehicle took almost a year to complete with the generous help of sponsors. The vehicle isone of its kind with the ability to tackle any terrain and has been modified to aid us in carrying rope rescues off the side of bridges by having special bars welded into the vehicle to allow us to tie our ropes off. ”
The vehicle also boasts state of the art radios allowing communication ground to ground as well as ground to air should the need arise; a specialized bull bar housing a heavy duty winch; unique reflective wrap with emergency lights surrounding it allowing visibility when dealing with rescues on freeways and flood lights and spot lights so as to maximise light whilst working in dark areas on the side of mountains.
“The vehicle is also equipped with modern rope equipment allowing Rescuetech to access animals and humans anywhere anytime,” said Easton.
This has been an enormous help to the unit and will allow Rescuetech to assist the Emergency Medical Services as well as SPCA.
“We are very grateful for the kindness and generosity that corporates have shown to us in this project. Rescuetech is an unique unit in that it offers a specialized set of skills to the emergency services that very few organizations have.”
