Buddhist nun to inspire guests

Book your seat now to listen to inspirational speaker, Gen-la Dekyong.

INTERNATIONALLY-renowned teacher, Gen-la Dekyong, will visit Durban for the first time in March to speak about the transformational power of a positive mind.

Her inspirational public talk, entitled ‘Living in the Moment’, takes place at Westville Civic Centre on Tuesday, 10 March at 7pm to 8.30pm.

These days, ‘on-the-go’ lifestyles and distracted minds keep people constantly worried about the future and struggling with the past. Most are rarely able to fully appreciate the present moment with all its extraordinary potential.

In the talk, Gen-la Dekyong will present special methods to enable listeners to let go of painful mental habits and instead empower them to take full advantage of every moment of their lives. In this way they will learn to appreciate life, making it joyful and meaningful, and create fulfilling relationships.

Gen-la Dekyong teaches at major events throughout the world and is well-loved for her ability to touch people’s hearts through her teachings and personal example. She is a Buddhist nun and the spiritual director of the New Kadampa tradition. All are welcome. Cost is R60 if booking, or R70 at the door, and includes refreshments. Proceeds will be donated to a non-profit organisation.
