KIRSTEN de Goede has been nominated as Kloof Senior Primary School’s SPAR Star of the Month. She has broken six of the school’s inter-house swimming records as well as a long standing record of a well-known Common Wealth games swimmer, Erin Gallager. The Grade 6 pupil also participated in the NDSA gala recently. She received six gold medals for 50 and 100M freestyle, 50 and 100M breaststroke and 50 and 100 fly and two silver medals for 50 and 100M backstroke. She received a certificate, trophy and prize money. Kirsten also set a new record in the 50M breaststroke, 100M fly and 50M freestyle races.
