Truck accident injures 3
Rescue Care Paramedics arrived on the scene to find that two of the three injured were trapped in the wreckages
THREE people were left with serious injuries after two trucks collided in a T-bone fashion just after 11pm on Wednesday, 9 December at the intersection of the N2 and M7.
Rescue Care Paramedics arrived on the scene to find that two of the three injured were trapped in the wreckages. The Durban Fire Department was then immediately called to assist with rescue tools. Advanced Life Support Paramedics worked to stabilise the three seriously injured patients on scene and cut them free, which took nearly two hours to do.
Once all of the injured had been freed and stabilised on the scene, they were then transported to various hospitals in Durban. At this stage it is unclear what caused the collision, however necessary authorities were on scene and are investigating.
