“The community wants organic food and the demand extends to more than just the Friday markets, as we get orders during the week,” he said.
Neveling once had a shop but found that was limiting for the consumers and himself and he wanted to able to be in the community and engage with the people he sells to.
“The standards are high, we are in the process of getting a permanent spot and will host bigger markets that don’t just sell food, but other products and include some entertainment. We are calling it the KZN Farmers and Public Market,” said Neveling.

Neveling has a permit from the municipality to host the market and ensures the stakeholders abide by the city bylaws. The market has had a wonderful response and support from the community.
“The people of Queensburgh are dynamic and are specific about buying clean food,” he said.
