Rishane is abuzz with words

Grade 6 learner, Rishane Moodley, was chosen as Pitlochry Primary School's SPAR Star of the Month.

PITLOCHRY Primary School has chosen Rishane Moodley from Grade 6, as its SPAR Star of the Month.

The school entered the DBE Spelling Bee competition recently. Learners were required to learn to spell verblly 1049 words.

Three of the learners participated in the Kranskloof District Round.

Rishane won the round as he the only learner who scored 100 per cent.

Rishane said the hardest word to learn was ‘onomatopoeia’.

In Grade 5 he won the award for Best All Rounder, and is continuing that trend in Grade 6.

He is a dedicated, diligent worker, and his favourite subject is natural science.

He plays table tennis, badminton and cricket, and is the striker for the U12A soccer team.

He is a responsible learner who has a positive attitude to all aspects of school life.
