Sheriff celebrates with food donation

People making use of the Pinetown Magistrate's Court on World Sheriff's Day were given freshly packed meal hampers.

TO celebrate World Sheriff’s Day on recently, the local Pinetown office handed out 500 hearty meals.

The Pinetown Sheriff’s Office staff donned their matching white T-shirts and handed out the food hampers to people who visited the courtrooms.

Each meal consisted of vegetable breyani, salad and a box juice. The leftover food hampers were donated to a local clinic.

“It feels good to give back,” said the sheriff of Pinetown, Nicholas Nxumalo. “We see so many people come into our office in desperate need of help and in tears. This is just another way for our office to do something for others.”
