THROUGH the medium of your newspaper I would like to say a very big thank you to Checkers Hillcrest Corner Branch, who offer a 50 per cent discount on selected items which have reached their sell-by-date.
These items include readymade meals, cheeses, cakes, wonderful fresh vegetables, plants and flowers.
This certainly helps us pensioners, many of whom live on limited income.
I have introduced these offers to the membership of the South African Association of Retired Persons Social Club on several occasions.
