Treats for Cheshire Home

The staff from MDS in Westville donated dozens of baked treats and warm slippers to the residents at the Queensburgh Cheshire Home.

THE staff at the Westville-based Molecular Diagnostic Services were busy in their kitchens, preparing for an MDS bake-off.

The freshly baked treats were then donated to the Queensburgh Cheshire Home.

“Our staff used their time and talent to bake up a storm of biscuits and cupcakes with the hope of winning the best tasting one. More importantly, armed with the biscuits and cupcakes, as well as brand new slippers for each resident, some of our staff visited the Queensburgh Cheshire Home and held a high tea for the residents. This was thoroughly enjoyed by all,” said MDS’s marketing HOD, Robyn Duarte.

Since 1965, the Queensburgh Cheshire Home has cared and provided support to its residents with physical disabilities, helping them to become as independent as their disabilities allow.

“Another wonderful cause that we really enjoyed being involved in,” said Robyn.
