#WomensMonth: Highway youth cares for women

Highway Youth Forum refurbish Open Door Crisis Centre.

THEY say whatever you give a woman, she multiplies.

You give her groceries she gives you a meal, you give her a house she gives you a home.

In the early morning of Thursday, 9 August, the Highway Youth Forum gathered at the Open Door Crisis Centre in Pinetown to honour and show their appreciation for the women of South Africa.

“We painted the rooms to give life and hope to these strong women,” said Highway Youth Forum founder, Sitholile Sithole.

The day could not end without a bit of singing, which gave hope and a sense of purpose.

“As the Highway Youth Forum, we stand tall in saying #StopWomenAbuse, let us protect, cherish and empower our women,” he said.
