Local chamber makes small businesses priority

This is an organisation that was formed to empower its members with information relating to business and development in their area.

WESTVILLE Business Chamber hosted a business breakfast on Friday, 17 May focusing on the theme, Boosting local economy through small business system.

The speakers were Thembinkosi General Mthembu, founder and director of Mthembu Tissue Converting, Sandile Buthelezi, manager SCM and Nhlanhla Mkhize, acting head Procurement from eThekwini Municipality.

This is an organisation that was formed to empower its members with information relating to business and development in their area.

According to chief executive officer of Westville Business Chamber, Fikile Vezi, the main objective of the chamber is to empower its members through inter relationships with other business. Its mission is to serve, empower and advance the interests of black South African businesses through advocacy, inter trade and collaboration, building capacity and identifying niche opportunities to promote business growth and sustainability.

“Westville Business Chamber welcomes all the new members who attended and joined on Friday,” added Vezi.

Membership is still open.
