Excitement bubbles with large donation

The R102 900 donation was used to purchase three new washing machines and two tumble dryers for the learners at kwaThintwa School for the Deaf.

KINGDOM Slots made a generous donation of R102 900 to KwaThintwa School for the Deaf to purchase new equipment for its laundry room.

KwaThintwa School is a full-term boarding school with learners from Grade 00 (age three) to matric.

It found itself without any working washing machines or tumble dryers earlier this year and its urgent plea for assistance was heard by Kingdom Slots.

The money donated was used to buy three new washing machines and two new tumble dryers.

KwaThintwa relies heavily on donations and sponsorship to ensure the smooth running of the school as many of its learners come from economically disadvantaged backgrounds and rely on government grants to pay for school fees.

Many parents face great difficulty meeting their financial obligations that include school and hostel fees.

Each learner received a party pack and Kingdom Slots also donated 100 bags that double as lap desks to the Foundation Phase learners to help them complete their homework and transport their school books.

KwaThintwa is still in need of sponsorship for its learners. For the school’s wish list or to assist in any way, contact Caitlin Wakefield on 031 783 4005 or email caitlin.wakfield@kwathintwaschool.co.za
