THE Wyebank Women’s Forum is inviting the community to a free interactive workshop on traditional Indian cuisine, offering a hands-on experience for anyone interested in learning authentic home-cooked recipes. The forum, a group of passionate home cooks, aims to preserve and share generations-old Indian cooking traditions. “We may not be professional chefs, but we are professional moms who have learnt from experience. Our goal is to make traditional Indian cooking fun, simple, and accessible to everyone,” said forum representative Venessa Pillay.

The workshop will feature live cooking demonstrations, audience participation, and recipe sharing. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn essential cooking techniques, interact with the hosts, and take home authentic Indian recipes. The event is open to men, women, and the younger generation, with no prior cooking experience required.
“We want to create an inclusive space where people can enjoy the process of cooking while learning about our cultural heritage,” added Pillay.

In addition to the demonstrations, guests will be treated to tastings of the dishes prepared, along with beverages. Pillay encourages attendees to bring a friend and join for an afternoon of learning, laughter, and delicious food.
