Suspect arrested for alleged murder of his stepdaughter

A mother woke up to the lifeless body of her infant after an argument with her boyfriend.

A SUSPECT will be appearing at the Pinetown Magistrate’s court today for the alleged murder of his three-month-old stepdaughter. The Pinetown police communications officer Bongumusa Manqele reported that the mother discovered the infant’s lifeless body with some bruises on her neck when she woke up to breastfeed.

“The suspect, who lives together with his girlfriend (34) on Washesha Lane in Wyebank, had an argument on Tuesday night with his girlfriend about the baby. The suspect allegedly told his girlfriend to take the child to his biological father,” said Manqele. 

The boyfriend was placed under arrest for murder.
