Although they started late, they’re eager to continue the trend for years to come, with this year’s collection concluding in November.
“We started our collection a few weeks after this year’s launch, but we didn’t want to miss out on the fun. We joined immediately,” they said.
The siblings were captivated by the mini items after seeing them among peers at school. “When we began collecting, we joined our school’s exchange group. Shopping at Checkers was convenient as it was on our way to school,” they excitedly added.
Though they don’t have the complete set, they’re also after the highly sought-after pink trolley, which has taken collectors by storm. This rare item has gained monetary value, with people selling it for R500 to R1 000 on Facebook.
