The organisation is dedicated to transforming lives through early childhood education. With the 12 pre-schools they work with in the area, Focus on iThemba witnessed the spirit of giving through numerous donors and friends of the organisation who arranged heartwarming Christmas initiatives for children who might otherwise have gone without gifts for Christmas.
Team leader Tayla-Anne Goss said many of the children they work with come from families facing significant financial hardships.
“For some, these gifts may be the only ones they receive this Christmas. To see the joy and excitement on their faces is truly priceless.
“These acts of kindness included not just gifts but also joyful visits to the schools, where donors have spent time playing with the children and sharing the magic of the season. These simple yet profound gestures remind us of all of the power of community and the importance of investing in the future of our youth,” she said.

“In the last season, we were reminded that hope is not just something we give, it’s something we create together. Thank you to our incredible community for proving that the Upper Highway’s heart is as big as its spirit of giving,” said Goss.
