Marx’s stunning road verge, which she began planting two years ago, has blossomed into a beautiful display of greenery and colour thanks to her ongoing care and dedication.
The organisation congratulated Marx on her effort to keep her verge clean. “We are incredibly proud of residents like Kathy who are making a visible difference in our community. Her garden is a shining example of what can be achieved with vision, commitment, and a love for nature.

“A heartfelt thank you goes to Marc Anderson of Richdens SPAR, who generously donated a hamper to the monthly winner in support of this green initiative,” said Wendy Brown.

Brown added that this competition is one of the ways residents are encouraged to play a part in beautifying shared spaces “We invite all residents and complexes to take part in this annual competition by planting and maintaining verge gardens that uplift the appearance and spirit of our neighbourhood.”

The Keep Hillcrest Beautiful Association will be scouting for the next potential winner, so residents are encouraged to keep their verges blooming.
