Rescue organisation receives generous donation

The day was about community, networking, and giving back while having a great time.

THE Paw Prints rescue pups soaked up all the love and attention at the third edition of The Boytjie Brands Golf Day at the Kloof Country Club recently.

The rescue organisation was the chosen beneficiary and received R40 000 from the day’s proceeds.

Owner and founder of Paw Prints, Jade Ashford, said on the day they were able to share with many new people the work that they do.

“Thanks to The Boytjie Brand’s incredibly generous donation of R40 000, we have been able to make a serious dent in three of our biggest vet bills – which means we can keep helping the dogs who need us most.”

From the moment of registration to the unforgettable prize giving, Ashford said they felt seen and supported.

“The clothing brand lives up to their mission of backing local, and we’re beyond grateful they chose us. Thank you for being part of our journey – your kindness is making a real difference in our community,” said Ashford.

The brand founder, Tyrone Rudolph, said it was an honour to put on such a massive golf event within the local community and to be able to give back to a local beneficiary such as Paw Prints.

In addition, Rudolph said they appreciate the support from the sponsors, community and Kloof Country Club in making the golf day another successful event for everyone involved.

He encouraged people to continue supporting local brands.

Sanelisiwe Tsinde

My name is Sanelisiwe Tsinde, and I'm a mother of two boys and very family-oriented. Being a community journalist for years, I can proudly say I love writing about positive community news articles and giving a voice to the voiceless. Seeing people getting assistance warms my heart. Every day is a different challenge and a new learning opportunity. I supply news for our trusted publication weekly, and a few years ago, Caxton ventured into online publication, so I contribute daily to the websites. I could say I am a multimedia journalist, and working in a community newspaper is beneficial as we do not focus on one thing but we do a bit of everything.
