Four arrested for Westville house robbery

The four suspects were arrested in Cato Manor shortly after the robbery.

FOUR house robbery suspects who were arrested by members of the Westville Crime Prevention team in Cato Manor on Thursday, September 4, were detained at Westville SAPS.

Westville SAPS communications officer, Captain Elizabeth Squires, said the suspects, aged from 27 to 29, fled Westville in a white Honda Ballade after stealing a TV, radio and R600 cash.

“The members immediately followed up on information to the whereabouts of all the suspects who were traveling on Vusi Mzimela Road in Cato Manor. The police tactically cornered the vehicle and apprehended all four suspects,” reported Squires.

She added that the car that was used by the suspects was impounded for further investigation.
