Legendary explorer helps raise funds for AACL

Legendary explorer and adventurer Kingsley Holgate will share his incredible stories from across Africa in an evening of community in aid of the Animal Anti-Cruelty League™ Durban & Pietermaritzburg.

THE public is invited to listen to legendary explorer and adventurer Kingsley Holgate share his incredible stories from across Africa at Barker Manor, Kloof, on Friday, September 26 at 18:00.

This is to help raise funds for Animal Anti-Cruelty League™ Durban & Pietermaritzburg.

Holgate, his son Ross Holgate, and their veteran expedition team, recently completed their 42nd expedition – a humanitarian journey to Mozambique that focused on malaria prevention in communities surrounding the greater Gorongosa National Park.

This expedition followed the gruelling 62000km, ‘Afrika Odyssey’ expedition that explored 22 of the most remote wildlife regions on the continent.

Having his own rescue Labby – Zanzi, the cause of the AACL is close to Holgate’s heart and he promises to delight the audience with his stories of wild adventures over the years as they gather to help one of the most important animal rescue operations in KZN.

Tickets are R350 and include a light harvest table by Good Earth Deli, a cash bar by Cocktails and Caviar, a fun live auction, and a raffle with amazing prizes.

All proceeds go to AACL Durban & PMB Branch, helping them to keep their doors open and continue rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming animals in need.

Book your tickets at Quicket. Email admin@aacldurban.co.za or call 031 736 9093.

Sanelisiwe Tsinde

My name is Sanelisiwe Tsinde, and I'm a mother of two boys and very family-oriented. Being a community journalist for years, I can proudly say I love writing about positive community news articles and giving a voice to the voiceless. Seeing people getting assistance warms my heart. Every day is a different challenge and a new learning opportunity. I supply news for our trusted publication weekly, and a few years ago, Caxton ventured into online publication, so I contribute daily to the websites. I could say I am a multimedia journalist, and working in a community newspaper is beneficial as we do not focus on one thing but we do a bit of everything.
