“The ceremony, held to honour officers who went above and beyond their duties in the 2024-2025 financial year, recognised members for their outstanding dedication and commitment.

“Besides working in Human Resource Management (HRM) with the personnel of the Pinetown Station, he is also actively involved in recruitment from the community. When young people want to join SAPS and apply to become police officers, he plays a key role in guiding and assisting them,” said Naidu.

HRM component head, Lieutenant Colonel Andries Fourie, expressed his pride in Kweyama’s achievement, describing him as a dedicated member who goes out of his way to help others.

“And it’s not just within the HRM Component, he extends his support to other components and departments as well.”

My name is Sanelisiwe Tsinde, and I'm a mother of two boys and very family-oriented. Being a community journalist for years, I can proudly say I love writing about positive community news articles and giving a voice to the voiceless. Seeing people getting assistance warms my heart. Every day is a different challenge and a new learning opportunity. I supply news for our trusted publication weekly, and a few years ago, Caxton ventured into online publication, so I contribute daily to the websites. I could say I am a multimedia journalist, and working in a community newspaper is beneficial as we do not focus on one thing but we do a bit of everything.
