Get creative at Roseway Waldorf Arts Festival
The Roseway Waldorf Arts Festival returns this weekend with performances, art competitions and family fun in a scenic outdoor setting.
THE Roseway Waldorf Arts Festival is just around the corner. The event, an annual highlight for many in the Upper Highway cultural calendar, takes place on Saturday, March 7 from 10:00 to 15:00.
It offers delicious food, beautiful artworks and exciting performances from all around Durban in the beautiful, natural setting of the Roseway Waldorf school, D435 Alverstone Road, Alverstone.
For visual artists there is an opportunity to win fantastic prizes. The Art competition is open to artists over the age of 16 and the winner will be awarded a Gallery Position at the KZNSA Art Gallery in Durban.

There will be performances by Kloof Senior Primary, Northlands Girls High, Hillcrest High, Benjamin Pine, Sarnia Primary and Westville Senior Primary.
“Irish dancing, belly dancing and fitness fun dancing demos will get people moving. Other highlights include Iain ‘Ewok’ Robinson, local aerosol artist, who will be creating a large artwork on the day that will go home with the lucky winner of the raffle.
“This is not just another festival, it’s a chance to come together as a community and celebrate all the beautiful things that make us truly human,” said the school’s Karen Logan.
