Wyebank crèche hosts Earth Day

THE Wyebank crèche recently hosted Earth Day: Saving Our Amazing Planet where the children took part in activities.
The activities included planting, recycling and picking up trash at the playground, as well as learning about saving electricity and water.
The crèche’s Ivey Govender said: “Children made outfits with recycling material and took walks to appreciate nature. They also did a recycled art project and created crafts from cardboard, paper and plastic containers. Children and educators wore green to appreciate our planet.”

Earth Day, added Govender, is celebrated every year on April 22.
“I want to thank our parents for getting involved in this project,” said Govender.
