Parcel disappears

"I was wondering if anyone has had a similar case and if there is anything one can do."

MY sister in Australia sent me a Christmas gift parcel which arrived in January with an amount of R1500 to be paid on collection.

I complained at this exorbitant amount as I am a senior citizen living on a small income.

I may add that VAT was included in this amount which I thought you only paid when you bought something.

The assistant Post Master advised me to write a letter of complaint which he would return with the parcel to the customs for reassessment and I would have the parcel back by the end of week.

Well, that was three months ago and I just do not have any joy from the Post Office.

Even with the tracker number, I cannot get my parcel. I was wondering if anyone has had a similar case and if there is anything one can do.
