Close taxi rank in Dale’s Avenue

"It is clear that there is not enough space delegated for taxis."

Dale’s Avenue used to be a street buzzing with many commercial activities. Nowadays, it’s still buzzing but alas with taxis that have taken over the street.

Many businesses have closed due to the hazards, unhygienic conditions and lack of parking for customers. The street was initially supposed to be a temporary rank while the original rank was under construction but it has become permanent for the past few years.

It is clear that there is not enough space delegated for taxis as they are now slowly taking over the area adjacent to Pinecrest on Kings Road.

I strongly urge the municipality to take action before more businesses close down thereby adding to the high unemployment rate which could have consequences like an increase in poverty and crime.
