
HERE is a story of gross incompetence by Telkom.
My landline failed on Thursday, 19 October.
I have called every day since then and have been told on two occasions that the complaint has been escalated.
I was told on a third occasion that the matter has been referred to the operations manager for New Germany.
Naturally they refuse to give me contact details.
These people hide behind a call centre, do nothing and happily collect their salary at the end of the month.
This morning, 28 October, I called again to be told there is nothing about any escalation on the system, and was given an escalation reference number.
That means that I have been lied to three times by their grossly incompetent staff.
They also happily take my rental money every month, and tell me that they do not provide refunds for lack of service.
No wonder this country has gone to the dogs.
