Run with PDAC this weekend
Join the PDAC for a 25km run or walk on Sunday 26 January.
THE Pinetown and Districts Athletics Club (PDAC) will be hosting a 25km run and walk on Sunday 26 January.
The race will begin at 5am at the Waterfall shopping centre and will end at the PDAC Club house at Lahee Park in Pinetown.
Runners are encouraged to arrive early as the access road will be closed as 5am sharp. The cut off time will be 9.15am.
Runners will be able to enter the race on Thursday 23 January from 5pm to 7pm, on Saturday 25 January from 1pm to 5pm as well as on the race day from 3.30am. Entrance costs R80.
Residents are welcome to travel to the starting line via buses that will be departing from the PDAC Clubhouse from 3.30am. Fare costs R35 per person.
The route will start on Inanda Road in Waterfall to Hillcrest and continue onto Old Main Road from Hillcrest to Gillitts through Winston Park.
Runners will then continue through Kloof from Everton Road, Igwababa Road, Abelia Road, Willingdon Road and Pioneer Road through Wyebank.. From there runners will continue onto Glamis Avenue, Bosse Street, Bohmer Road, High Street, Campbell Road, Glenugie Road and Copeland Road through New Germany. Finally the runners will finish in Lahee Park.
Please note that the roads along the route will be affected on Sunday morning. Drivers are encouraged to take alternative routes and be patient while driving around in the morning.
