PBHS bags another point
Pinetown Boys’ High School continues its dominance over Glenwood Boys’ High School.
PINETOWN Boys’ High School took on Glenwood Boys’ High School in yet another soccer game at first team level. The game was one which began at a fast pace; ten minutes into the game, a penalty was awarded Glenwood High’s way, missed by the Green Machines’ number 15 when he ballooned it over the goal posts and then scored in the retake.
Pinetown Boys’ bounced back and looked to be the more confident of the two sides. PBHS looked sharp in their passing and kept hold of the possession, looking for composure while reorganising the Glenwood defence.
PBHS sport coordinator, Captain Ndu Kheswa, scored the equaliser after receiving a deadly through-ball from Sanele Khanyile, 20 minutes into the first half.
“With two minutes to play in the half, Phila Dlamini lost discipline by unnecessarily kicking the ball away and got yellow carded, making it a second yellow card in the game for PBHS.
“A free kick was awarded to Pinetown ten minutes into the half, just outside the box, but the chance was wasted. Kheswa scored minutes later, completing his brace with Sphamandla Shabalala putting the crucial through ball to him, 2-1 up to Pinetown with 12 minutes to go.
“In the last moments of the game, Ndu Kheswa was tripped inside the box to complete his Hatrick and the game finished at 3-1,” said Zulu.
The two teams have now played three times and PBHS has won all three games.
