Curro rugga teams claim double win

The first team's game was described as nail-biting event to witness.

CURRO Hillcrest travelled down to South City in Margate this past weekend to play multiple sport disciplines and the rugby teams claimed two wins out of three games.

The U14 team won 17 – 0, the U16s lost 0 – 17 and the school’s 1st team won 14 – 7 with Damon Kay and Fortune Smith each scoring a try and Micah Moritz converting both tries.

The final game was a tough and close encounter with some great skills and teamwork shown in the game.

Curro Hillcrest’s marketing manager, Fiona Johnson, said, “One of the highlights of the 1st team game was the way the Curro Hillcrest boys defended their try-line at the end of the match with only 14 players on the field and still managed a win. Well done boys!”
