High-kicking karate action
The Nel brothers received four gold medals collectively and received their South African novice colours for karate.
BROTHERS, and Hillcrest locals, Louie (5) and Kevin Nel (7), recently competed in the South African JKA Karate Nationals in Johannesburg with the KZN Karate team.
Both boys did exceptionally well, wiping out the competition in each of their respective age groups for Kata and Kumite.

The Nel brothers received four gold medals collectively and received their South African novice colours for karate. They train under Sensei Gareth Crowe of Shin-Gi-Tai Karate Academy in Botha’s Hill.
“We would like to personally thank and commend him for his dedication and commitment to our young stars,” said their mom, Simone.
