Saddle up for country fun

The Country Roads show will feature music from your favourite country stars

THE Heritage Theatre will host the Country Roads show from 17 September to 13 October featuring music from your favourite country artists.

Enjoy the music of country stars of years past, from John Denver to Dolly Parton, as well as more recent artists such as Shania Twain Dixie Chicks, Lady Antebellum, Kid Rock and Mumford & Sons.

Guests can expect well known classics such as, Grandma’s Feather Bed, Achy Breaky Heart, Cotton Eye Joe, Islands in The Stream and The Devil Went Down to Georgia as well as modern country songs like All Summer Long, Whose Bed Have Your Boots Been Under, Rock This Country, What The Cowgirls Do and I Will Wait

Lyle Buxton and Marion Loudon will perform with musical director Calli Thomson on keyboards, Andy Turrell on pedal steel and electric guitar, Nux Scwartz on guitar, Anita Ruscoe on violin, Jill Murray Brown on bass and Francois Hardy on drums,

There will be three “preview” specials available on 17, 18 and 19 September where guests will be able to enjoy the show with a three course meal for only R165 per person.

Normal tickets prices are R195 per person for Wednesday to Saturdays, and R165 per person Tuesday evenings and Sunday Lunch time for the show and a two-course meal. There is also a “show only” option for R120.
