Flea bitten fun at Ashley Sports Club

Join the Ashley Sports Cub as well at the Shongweni K9 unit and the PSS K9 unit for an exciting police dog show and flea market Fun Day on Saturday 28 September.

THE Ashley Sport Club in Pinetown will be hosting a fun day on Saturday 28 September from 9am to 2pm.

Residents will be able to browse through the flea market stalls and will also be treated to a police dog show.

The Shongweni K9 unit as well as the Protection Security Services (PSS) K9 unit will be giving demonstrations with some of the units’ patrol dogs, such as a mock hijacking and explosives search displays.

Dog owners are also encouraged to take their four-legged companions for a flea and tick dip.

The dips will be provided by the Matrix Mobile Dog Dip company, and will cost R30 per dog.

The owner of the company, Alta Delport,will donate all the proceeds of the dog dips to the Kloof and Highway SPCA.

“We appreciate the support of local companies who host small events to support and raise funds for the SPCA,” said Barbara Laubscher, fundraising manager at the SPCA.
