Hilarious Twain tale comes to Durban

The theatre production on gender dynamics will have the audience giggling in their seats.

A WHIMSICAL Mark Twain adaptation, The Diary of Adam and Eve, is coming to the Seabrooke’s Theatre at the Durban High School campus from Thursday 1 to Saturday 3 May.

The Diary of Adam and Eve, adapted for the stage by Mark Bucci, showcases the quirky tenderness and enduring wit of American humourist Mark Twain, whom is best known for The Adventures of Tom Sawyer and its sequel, Adventures of Huckleberry Finn.

The theatre production explores the timeless observations on the nature of men, women and love. The audience will be transported through the often hilarious dynamics between men and women and the various modern gender disputes.

Catarina Morgado, a relatively new-comer to Durban, is producing, directing and performing in the production. She will take on the role of Eve, while Jonathan Cohen plays Adam, and Mthokozisi Zulu will enact the role of snake.

Performances will start at 7.30pm and tickets cost R80 per person.
