Enjoy classics at monastery
Don't miss out on Baroque 2000's second concert of the season on Sunday 4 May.
BAROQUE 2000’s second concert of the season will take place at 11am on Sunday 4 May at the Church of the Monastery in Mariannhill.
The special programme is devoted to Double Concerti by the two great masters, J S Bach and Vivaldi. In Bach’s Concerto in D minor for two violins, the soloists are Ralitza Macheva and Petya Koleva. In the same composer’s Concerto for oboe and violin, Nuria Cabezas Castaño (oboe) will appear with Ralitza Macheva.
The other two works are by Vivaldi: L’Estro Harmonica will feature Ralitza Macheva and Lidia Sanacori. In his Concerto for two cellos and strings RV531 the solo parts will be covered by Cecilia di Cecco and Alejandro Pradenas. Tickets are R120 at the door and there is ample free and safe parking.
