Green – From lime green to emerald green, I’m super excited about this trend as green is my favourite décor colour. It works throughout the house, and is a lovely relaxing colour. Great for living rooms and bedrooms, it brings the outdoors indoors.

Grey – This was a very popular colour in 2016 and is still super popular in 2017. We’ll see different tones of grey, especially blue greys, and a lot of greys and whites. Grey compliments everything, pictures and mirrors will pop on a dark grey wall. (see inset photograph)

Tropical prints – This is a spin-off from the runways. The bold tropical prints will be seen on wallpapers and fabrics mainly, and even ceramic bowls and crockery. A great tip is to always buy a plain couch and change it up with scatters. Just like you would buy a classic piece of clothing and refresh it with a new scarf and bag.

Quirky and industrial lighting – Lighting is a great accessory for your home. Have fun with interesting lighting in a dining room or entrance hall. It can be a great conversation piece. Make your own piece with shells or driftwood and twine.
