Rolling back the wheels of time

The Veteran Car Club, Kloof has been around for 65 years and the club's history is just as rich as the vintage vehicles and motorcycle's that will be exhibited for the public.

THE Hillcrest High Car Show takes place on Sunday, 28 July and not Saturday, 27 July as reported last week.

The show starts at 8am and finishes at 4.30pm in the afternoon.

The Veteran Car Club, Kloof has been around for 65 years and the club’s history is just as rich as the vintage vehicles and motorcycle’s that will be exhibited for the public.

The show attracts people from all over the country. It is also a day where small business can display their wares.

People just mingle and enjoy the day in a relaxed country atmosphere.

Visitors can expect to see a range of cars from the early 1900s up to modern day cars,. There are various model racing cars and die-cast models, also model trains.

There will be classic motorcycles on display and a few events where the general public can see the old cars in action.”

This year Citroen, Rover and Bentley cars are featured. However, the show will be well-represented by other makes such as Morris, MG and Triumph.There will be a parade of cars through the ages, a food and beer garden, drummies and a steel-drum band.
