A house breaking and theft suspect was recently sentenced in the Krugersdorp Magistrates’ Court to 85 years imprisonment on five charges.
Andries Copper Khoza was convicted for one count of house breaking and theft, three counts of house breaking with the intent to rob and robbery with aggravating circumstances and one count of robbery with aggravating circumstances.
The successful conviction follows after the accused committed the robberies around the Wentworth Park and Mindalore area in 2012 and 2013.
Khoza was arrested again on 14 January while already serving a 13 years sentence in the Krugersdorp Correctional Services for a previous conviction of house breaking with the intent to rob.
“The Krugersdorp Police management is very proud of Warrant Officer Holder for securing this sentence. He worked very hard and put in many hours in this investigation. He gathered enough evidence and traced witnesses to compile a proper investigation,” Krugersdorp Police spokesperson, Sergeant Tshepiso Mashale said.
The Krugersdorp Cluster Commander Major General Mateisi applauded the good work done by Holder.
“He worked with passion and dedication. A job well done by one of our own and may he continue to serve this organisation with pride and dignity.”
