A new look at the old masters

The gallery also has a large stock of small paintings and prints.

Well-known Muldersdrift artist and art teacher, Susan Orpen, will be exhibiting her new works at The Art People gallery on 27 November.

At this attractive country gallery, she and fellow artist Lois Sangari will mount a show of oil paintings, many of which allude in imagery to famous artists of the past, but are given a modern twist.

Lois, a competitive dressage rider, has an equine theme running through her collection, while Susan displays a wide variety of subject matter from political to personal.

The gallery also has a large stock of small paintings and prints which are most suitable for tourists, and as gifts; and there is a pleasant patio where you can sit in the shade and enjoy live music and some arty chatter.

The Gallery is at 196 Drift Boulevard (R114) and enquiries will be answered on 074 587 7347.
