Mogale City Local Municipality and Avianto Estates recently launched a R20 million sewer line and pump station project that will lead to more development opportunities.

A new sewer line and pump station project which is said to be the start of bigger developments was launched at Avianto Estate recently.

Developer Darin D’Oliveira said in a statement that this R20 million project had been long awaited and was the result of consolidated efforts between him and the Mogale City Local Municipality.

Mogale City Executive Mayor Councillor Francis Makgatho opened the project with a ribbon-cutting ceremony which was followed by breakfast.

Leonhard Jonas, Northlands Group CEO.

Darin explained that the 350 hectare estate will unlock about R4 billion in future construction, which will consist of up to 2 000 residences and include freehold stands, plot and plan houses, sectional title developments, a retirement development, an office park and business node.

The development had been his dream since he built the Avianto wedding venue in 1997, and phase one of the Verona development will be launched within the next month. This will consist of 23 plot and plan opportunities.

This development will make a notable difference in creating jobs and ultimately be a game changer in terms of revenue creation through rates and taxes for MCLM,” he concluded.
