Licensing Department temporarily closed due to strike

Expect no action at the Krugersdorp Licensing Department until at least tomorrow due to a strike by the National Driving School Association of South Africa (NDSASA).

The Krugersdorp Licensing Department is closed temporarily due to a strike by the National Driving School Association of South Africa (NDSASA).

The association said in an official statement, “NDSASA will embark on a strike to demand the suspension of the NaTIS online booking system failing people of Gauteng.

The department has decided to change its online booking system on Friday, February 18 without consulting its stakeholder, which resulted in driving schools not being able to reserve slots for the people under their schools.”

NDSASA also gave two official dates for the strike action, namely Thursday, February 24 (RTMC offices in Centurion) at 10:00; and Friday, February 25 (the shutdown of all DLTCs).

Councillor Zillah Maguire said on social media,”… please avoid the Krugersdorp Licensing Centre – there is currently a riot/ protest taking place and the centre is closed until further notice today”.
