Restricted access at Luipaardsvlei Landfill site due to rainfall

Waste Management Services confirmed that access to the Luipaardsvlei Landfill site is currently restricted due to heavy rains.

According to Mogale City Local Municipality’s communications officer Refilwe Mahlangu, the site has become difficult to access because of muddy conditions.

“As a result, we urge residents to delay waste disposal and use alternative landfill sites. We also wish to remind residents that illegal dumping is strictly prohibited, as it raises serious health risks and harms the environment.

We want to ensure residents dispose of their waste responsibly, or they will be charged,” she said.
