Oaktree residents get their hands dirty in community clean-up initiative

The Toolbox Hub workers lent a helping hand to the Oaktree community to clean up their streets.

The Oaktree community came together to clean up parts of the N14 on Friday, July 11.

The Toolbox Empowerment Hub’s workers assisted, as eight of them helped clean over 2km of the road.

Andrew Holdsworth, project manager at the Toolbox Hub, said this is one of their projects to develop skills and create jobs in the West Rand.

“The initiative services 14 residents’ associations in the Roodepoort and Krugersdorp areas, with over 32 members working daily.”

He concluded that this is a joint venture between the residents of Oaktree and the Toolbox Hub.
