Mogale City smart meter audits continue after hours

Mogale City’s smart meter teams may now work into the evening, with strict ID checks to ensure residents’ safety.

As part of the ongoing smart meter audit and installation programme, authorised teams may now work after hours (into the evening) in certain areas.

According to MCLM communication officer Refilwe Mahlangu, understanding the importance of your privacy and safety, all personnel will continue to follow strict identification protocols:

• Mogale City branded reflector vest
• ID tag
• Signed letter from Mogale City Local Municipality

“If residents are unsure about the legitimacy of any individual or team, you are encouraged to refer to the installation team poster to verify photos against the names provided. The municipality appeals for cooperation with the teams during these extended working hours, allowing access to your meter,” Mahlangu said.
