Grandfather grateful for donations as injured grandson fights for his life

Injured motorcyclist Jason Jordaan's grandfather revealed some good news and thanked the community for their donations.

The grandfather of injured biker, Jorrie Jordaan, is thankful to the community for all their support.

The 21-year-old Jason Jordaan remains in a critical condition following a motorcycle crash in Mindalore last week.

In the latest update on Jason’s condition, Jorrie revealed some positive news and said his grandson got a blood transfusion on Saturday, February 8.

“We are waiting for the doctors to do more scans today [February 10]. He moved his left leg on Sunday and opened his eyes a few times. Apart from that there is no change,” he added.

On February 8, they also received R8 400 in donations from a potjie competition hosted at Hero’s Pub and Grill.

“On behalf of myself, my wife Julie, the rest of the family and Jason, we would like to thank the management of Hero’s and everybody who was there who contributed to Jason’s fund, especially the winners who contributed their prizes to him. A very big thank you. We have no words to describe how amazing it felt that everybody there was so giving from their hearts. We can only say thank you,” he concluded.
