According to the school’s student advisor, Quinten van der Merwe, the initiative highlights the power of collective action in supporting those in need.

“Each donation has the potential to save up to three lives, making a significant impact on patients undergoing surgeries, cancer treatments, and emergency medical care.

Some students also took to express how proud they are to make a difference in the initiative.

“Donating blood is a cause that is important to me because I believe that giving blood is a simple, yet powerful way to make a difference in someone’s life,” said Ashley van der Walt, a first-year Business Management student.

“Every pint counts, and I think it’s amazing that something as straightforward as donating blood can have such a profound impact.

I encourage everyone to consider donating – it’s a small act that can save lives.”

UniCollege extended its gratitude to all participants and the SANBS for making this event a success.
